A trip down to Warsaw offered up a fine place to burn off a little energy and explore a new trail that skirted the bluff line at Shawnee Bend on a clear sunny day.
Tranquility stood out in abundance on this Wednesday, enabling most of what I captured on film. One couple had just finished up their morning walk with their fluffy little friend, while another two were only yard away from departure, leaving the trail entirely to me and my striped sidekick. The sun shone brightly in the wrong direction at the bluff though, coupled with haze from smoke in the area, foiled any attempt at a decent capture. An intriguing set of ruins offered time to reflect on the history of the space before the lake came into being. Somebody put a lot of effort into a little cabin here; in particular the fireplace mantle. It would be interesting to hear the story, though it is probably lost to time forever.
